Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Joseph Akinwale, better known as Joeboy has decided to bring succor to Lagos residents who are feeling the impact of the petrol price hike occasioned by subsidy removal by President Tinubu-led administration.

Since the increase in the price of petrol took effect, a lot of commuters who are unable to afford the prevailing transportation costs have taken to trekking as a means of commuting from place to place.

According to him, he is set to provide some buses which will ply some popular routes in Lagos.

In the now-viral post, he went on to disclose that the buses which will be available for three days will be free and will operate between the hours of 8am and 5pm daily.

The singer, who urged Lagosians to enjoy the ride while it lasted, also said the initiative was borne out of his genuine desire to help cushion the effect of the economic condition which he said was hard on people.
