Simi wondered why the police opted to counsel parents that blatantly and repeatedly sexually exploited a baby instead of prosecuting them

Popular singer, Simisola Kosoko, aka Simi, has blasted the Nigeria Police for opting to counsel Musa Suleman, the Edo dad arrested for circulating a digital poster of his 4-year-old daughter posing in a manner akin to a hooker with a bottle of Hennessy by the side rather than prosecute him.
The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, while reacting to a post by an X user, who called his attention to the indecent act on Sunday, confirmed the arrest of the girls father.
He, however, clarified that the Edo State Police Command would “counsel the parents rather than prosecute them.”

Responding to the netizen’s post , Odejobi tweeted: “This is an act of indecency and exposing the young child to moral dangers. The PPRO of Edo Command will take it up and counsel the parents rather than prosecute them.
“Many of us don’t know the implications of what we do. We will educate them, and many alike. This kind of a thing will expose the girl to the rots in our system and moral dangers. Not in all cases we prosecute, there is a room for ADR and CSR in our duties, and we shall be adopting such. @EdoPoliceNG, @PoliceNG.”
Reacting to the PFRO’s post, an obviously disappointed Simi faulted the police for choosing to counsel the girl’s parents.
