Bello el-Rufai, son of Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, threw caution to the winds when he threatened to rape the mother of a Twitter user and pass her over to his friends.
The young el-Rufai had made the threat after disagreeing with a Twitter user @thanos_zer on President Muhammadu Buhari’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shockingly, the governor’s wife, Hadiza el-Rufai, waded in, and defended her son.
“If you sow wind, you reap whirlwind. All is fair in love and war,”she said.
Mrs el-Rufai’s intervention shocked many who reacted with utter disbelief.
“Mrs. El Rufai dug deep and went back to 1578 to get the quote ‘All Is Fair in Love and War’ when today all is not fair in war. Charles Taylor was convicted for war crimes because all is not fair in war. There was an entire Nuremberg Trials for war crimes,”@seyi_ said.
@MrOdanz said: “El Rufai’s son is threatening someone’s mum with gang rape. His mother (El Rufai’s wife) replies by saying that “all is fair in love and war. On international Day of the girl child sometimes this year, she will be a guest speaker somewhere talking about ‘gender-based violence’ ?.”
@Elcrucifixio added: “i have promised myself not to ever be surprised by tweets from El Rufai’s son, as he’s either very demented, or always high on drugs, but threatening to gang rape someone’s mum was wayyyyy above a shocker.
Then his mum comes online to defend the act. Godddd!!!”
