Human rights activist and former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has seemingly given up on the possiblity of resolving the political cirises in Rivers State through human efforts.
According to him, only God can intervene in the feud between the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
He made this known via a post he shared on his verified social media page recently.
Rivers State has been experiencing political tension since Governor Sim Fubara assumed office in May 2023.
The governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike are fighting over who exerts political control in the state.
The crisis led to the emergence of two parallel speakers, Martin Amaewhule and Victor Oko-Jumbo, as well as a lot of legal battles in the court.
President Bola Tinubu had to intervene at some point, but his intervention did not yield the expected result.
Taking to his X handle to speak on the crisis, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani noted the political impasse can no longer be resolved by human beings.
He tweeted: “Rivers State has been left in the hands of God to solve the problem.”
