Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna Central district in the Senate also said, “Justice must be done”

Human rights activist and former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has commended the Nigerian Police Force following the arrest of the mastermind of the 2022 Kaduna-Abuja train kidnapping.
He praised the security agency on Thursday night via a post on his X page, while seeking that “Justice must be done.”
TheNiche had earlier reported that mastermind behind the abduction and killing of passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train in March 2022 was apprehended by the police.
Speaking on his arrest in Kaduna yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, identified the suspect as Ibrahim Abdullahi, aka Mandi.
He went on to brief newsmen that the mastermind of the train hijack, also participated in the abduction of students from Greenfield University in 2021.
He further revealed that 48 AK-47 rifles were seized during Mandi’s arrest and efforts were underway to identify his sponsor and supplier of weapons.
Adejobi said, “On 12th January 2024, police operatives attached to an anti-kidnapping unit of Kaduna State Criminal Investigation Department, based on credible information swooped in and arrested one Ibrahim Abdullahi aka MANDE at Abuja-Kaduna Road flyover by Rido Junction.”
He added: “He had participated in various kidnapping incidents including the kidnapping incident at Green Field University and he partook in almost all the kidnappings along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.”
Reacting to the news, Shehu Sabi expressed pleasure that the notorious bandit was arrested.
Taking to his verified social media page, the former senator who represented Kaduna Central senatorial district in the red chamber, tweeted: “It’s pleasing and commendable to learn that the Nigerian Police have finally arrested the masterminds of the 2022 Kaduna Abuja Train kidnappings. They killed and destroyed the lives of others. Justice must be done.”
