English pundit and Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer, has declared that Arsenal’s squad is ‘undoubtedly’ the best in the English Premier League (EPL) this season.
He made this known while analysing Sunday’s London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea on Betfair.
According to Shearer, the Gunners remain the only truly consistent team in the English league so far.
The Premier League record goalscorer also noted that every other team has experienced some sort of up and down, but Arsenal has remained stable.
Speaking ahead of the league fixture between the London rivals, Shearer said, “Arsenal have got the strongest squad, there’s no doubt, and they’ve had injuries, but you wouldn’t have thought that, because of the quality of players that come in.”

He went on to point out that for a player like Noni Madueke to return from injury and score against Bayern Munich at mid-week shows that the Gunners are loaded.
“Arsenal have been the standout team by an absolute mile at the minute. In every competition, basically, in the Champions League and in the league.”
Arsenal have only been defeated once this season, and that was by the reigning champions, Liverpool.
Meanwhile, their opponent, Chelsea, are now being seen as possible challengers for the title after leapfrogging Manchester City to claim the second spot in the league.
Arsenal will extend their lead in the Premier League to nine points this weekend with a win at Stamford Bridge, while Chelsea will go three points of them with a victory.
