The comfortable home victory takes the league champions to within two points of league leaders, Arsenal and they still have two outstanding matches.
However, despite this advantage, Shay Given, who also played for Newcastle United during his playing days, warned that Man City could still throw away the title as they have “tough games” left.
Discussing the Wednesday EPL encounter he said: “You’d say City have got the tougher run in so it’s not over yet.
“Fulham away is next and that’s not easy. They have to travel to Everton and face Brighton and Brentford away at the end of the season – they are tough games.”
