Seun Kuti, singer, instrumentalist, and the last child of the late Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, has praised Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi following her twerking tribute to his father.

Korra, during her visit to Nigeria over the weekend, visited Fela’s grave and performed a twerking tribute in his honor.

​While captioning the video on her Instagram page, Korra wrote, “I gave baba an offering. We visited the gravesite of Anikulapo Kuti today, and we all know that one thing Fela loved was a woman with gyrating hips. So I decided to twerk for baba.”

​Reacting to the gesture, Seun Kuti appreciated Korra’s action, saying it was aligned with Fela’s vibrant lifestyle and cultural influence.

​He said, “You guys know what baba likes but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you my sister.”

​Meanwhile, the trending video has sparked mixed reactions on various social media platforms.

​While some netizens took to the comment section of the post to applaud Korra’s action, others argued that her performance crossed a line.
