All roads lead to one of Nigeria’s premier clubs, Lagos Country Club, Ikeja as tennis prodigy, Serena Teluwo celebrates her 10 years birthday on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
The light–skinned tennis wizkid, who has stunned the domestic tennis scene in recent years, has had a training stint in Spain and London in 2013, where her tennis potentials received tremendous boosts after playing against experienced and older players.
Serena had the opportunity of hob-nobbing with the William Sisters, Serena and Venus during their three-day tour of Nigeria in 2012 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club (LLTC), Tafawa Balewa Square where she was embraced by her idol and namesake, Serena William, who gave her a cap as souvenir.
In a career spanning half of her age on the courts, the precious Serena Teluwo had received invitation to play in Dubai, the commercial nerve–centre of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) which unfortunately could not be honoured because of her mid-term examination in the school in 2014.
Since then, Serena has been taking tutorials under the tutelage of coach Paul and has with effortless ease against her mates..
