Serefina Otazi, Bayelsa C’ssioner kidnapped in Otuoke

Unidentified gunmen on Sunday kidnapped Madam Serefina Otazi, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Local Government.

Mr Patrick Oba, nephew to the Commissioner, said she was kidnapped in Otuoke at gun-point on her way to attend a funeral at Ewoi Community in Ogbia Local Government Area.

The kidnappers whisked away the victim who was in company of two other ladies when they attacked and took away her car keys.

Otazi had served as commissioner for Women Affairs and acting chairman of Ogbia LGA.

Mr Endurance Frank, a family member, told NAN that the family had reported the incident to the Police and prayed that the victim would be released unhurt.

Police in Bayelsa on Sunday confirmed the kidnap of Miss Nancy Dickson, younger sister to Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa.

Asinim Butswat, Assistant Superintendent of Police and spokesman for Bayelsa Police Command, confirmed the development to NAN in Yenagoa.

Butswat said Nancy, 26, was abducted in her shop located on Okaka Road, Yenagoa the state capital, on Saturday.
