The senator who represented the Adamawa North Senatorial District, denied the claims on Monday, while addressing journalists at a press conference.

Abbo was reacting to a viral video clip which found its way to the Internet last week, where a light-skinned man was seen having sexual intercourse with an alleged married woman.

Another video clip that emerged on X on Monday captured a woman alleging that she was sexually harassed by the former lawmaker.

The woman accused Abbo of using the video clip to blackmail her.

However, while responding to the allegations, Abbo vehemently denied the viral video and accused his political opponents of plotting to damage his reputation.

He went to argue that the video circulating on the social media space did not reveal the faces of the man.

He further boasted that despite the video, he will win election because he is loved by his people.

Reacting to the trending video, Abbo said, “How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, only parts of his legs and you said it is Senator Abbo.”

He added, “Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections. A senator from one of the northern states was shown in a sex video with his entire body, but he still won an election to the Senate, and his wife won an election to the House of Representatives.

“My people love me. No amount of blackmail can stop me.”

Senator Abbo, who was sacked from the upper legislative Chamber by an Appeal Court on October 16, 2023 is not new to controversy, he was in the news about two years ago when he was accused of attacking a breastfeeding mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja.
