Senate President condoles with Senator Folarin over wife’s death

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has sent his condolences to Senator Teslim Folarin, who represents Oyo Central Senatorial District, over the death of his wife, Barrister Angela Nwaka Folarin.

Lawan expressed shock and deep sadness at the tragic news, describing the deceased as a pillar of the family.

“I commiserate with Distinguished Senator Folarin on this most painful experience of the death of a loving wife.

“I urge Senator Folarin, as a devout Muslim, to accept the sad development as the will of Allah. I also pray the Almighty God to comfort the family,” Lawan says.

The Senate President condoled with members of the Folarin family, the Government and people of Oyo State over the painful loss.

He prayed Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the departed and accept her soul into Aljannah firdausi.

Mrs. Angela Nwaka Folarin, a lawyer, died at the age of 47 on Friday.

Senator Folarin’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, YSO Olaniyi, made this known in a terse statement.

Sources close to the family said the death was sudden and unexpected.

Olaniyi’s terse statement confirmed that: “With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the death of our wife, mother and sister, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin.

“The wife of Oyo Central Senator was confirmed dead on Friday afternoon. She breathed her last in UK.

“The deceased was hale and hearty until the angel of death knocked the door.

“May Almighty God Comfort us and Grant Late Angela an eternal rest.”

Senator Folarin is said to be very devastated.

It is not yet known what the woman was doing in the UK but it not likely to be medical tourism since there was no indication of ill-health before the trip.
