Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu, was alleged to have died as a result of internal injuries sustained from domestic violence meted on her by her husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu.

The gospel artiste was reportedly said to have died last week Friday, April 8, 2022, at the National Hospital, Abuja, where she was hospitalized after going into a coma for days.

Her mother has explained why her daughter remained in the 10-year-old abusive marriage.

According to a transcript of an interview, Osinachi’s mother granted the BBC, Mrs Madu narrated her daughter’s ordeal at the hand of her husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu.

The mother said her late daughter insisted on staying in the marriage with her husband on the justification that ‘what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. This is despite the series of abuses she experienced in the marriage.

Meanwhile, the accused husband, Mr. Peter Nwachukwu, has been arrested by men of the Lugbe police division in Abuja.
