Senate while approving the president’s request, noted that he did not disclose the identity of the twenty special advisers

The Senate has given President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the go ahead to appoint 20 special advisers.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read the president’s request on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday.
The Red Chamber, while approving the request, noted the number one citizen did not disclose the identity of the twenty special advisers.

However, after the letter was read in the chamber, the Senate approved the request.
Prior to this, President Tinubu had appointed former governor of Benue state and immediate past minister of special duties, George Akume as secretary to the government of the federation (SGF).
This was made known in a statement signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information at the Presidency on Friday. June 2.
It read: “In a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum, the President also named former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation,”
In the same statement titled ‘President Tinubu appoints Gbajabiamila COS, Sen. Ibrahim Hadejia, DCOS, George Akume, SGF.’, the presidency also named the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his chief of staff.
Also appointed as deputy chief of staff is the former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Sen. Ibrahim Hadejia,
These appointments and the approval for choosing his 20 special advisers came after the inauguration of the president on May 29.
