It also recorded 99 seizures with Duty Paid Value of N82.9 million despite lull in business.

A statement from the imagemaker of the command, Mr. Taupyen S.K, shows that the revenue collected in November overshot its monthly target with a difference of N59.1 million.

Giving the statistics of the monthly  performance so far, the Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller David Victor Dimka, disclosed that his open-door policy and stakeholders

compliance created a vacuum for improved  revenue structure.

While commending the efforts of his officers and men for their total commitment, resilience, diligence and dedication to duty, the  controller attributed the achievements to the understanding of their roles by community leaders.

Dimka however pointed out that for business

to thrive, there must be transparent and honest declaration of goods, even  though, there were some little distractions observed, stressing, “The revenue is  gradually taking good shape. There would be a level playing ground  for those who do not desire to short-change the Federal Government.”

He said that whatever would destroy the relationship between Nigeria and Benin  Republic business trade would be quickly curbed.
