In a move expected to end the infighting among senators and unify the Senate, Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, Thursday announced a minor reshuffle of chairmen of senate committees, announcing Senator Kabiru Marafa as Chairman of Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) and Senator Oluremi Tinubu as Chairman of the Committee on Environment.
The two senators are some of the arrowheads that have staunchly opposed the emergence of Saraki as President of the Senate.
Saraki also announced Senator Hope Uzodima as chairman, Senate Committee on Customs, Senator Baba Kaka Garubai as chairman, Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Adokwe as chairman Senate Committee on National Orientation and Information
and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe as chairman, Committee on Power.
Others are Senator Joshua Dariye as chairman, committee on public procurement, Senator Adamu Aliero as Chairman, committee on aviation, Senator Daura Tijani as chairman, Committee on federal character.
