Sao Tome lost 10-0 to the Super Eagles in the reverse fixture in 2022

Sao Tome and Principe have unveiled a 21-man squad for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The list of players who made the squad comprises three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and six forwards.
The home encounter for Super Eagles, which usually takes place at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abuja, is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday, September 10.

Sao Tome have no chance of securing a spot in the competition following their 5 losses and a draw in six matches, which earned them just one point from a possible 18 points.
Adriano Eusebio’s side lost 10-0 to the Super Eagles in the reverse fixture in November last year, they will, therefore, be hoping to secure a draw and cause an upset in the away tie.
