The emir subsequently met with several interest groups, including the vigilante, women organizations, private individuals and well-wishers who had gathered at the palace to show their respects and loyalty.

Prior to the council meeting, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who was greeted with admiration and jubilation, emerged in ground style on white royal horse from his inner palace in the famous Gidan Rumfa, acknowledging warm greetings from his subjects.
