Human rights activist and former Kaduna central senator, Shehu Sani, has accused President Bola Tinubu of dashing the hope of many Nigerian youths with the ministerial list he presented to the senate for screening and approval.
He made the assertion on Saturday via a tweet on his social media handle, where he argued they were disappointed because Tinubu wanted to satisfy those he tagged “entitled old brigades”.
Sani, while reacting to the ministerial lists sent by the president, which comprised names of many known old politicians, also added that many of the youths had expected that they would dominate his cabinet.

The tweet partly read: “The hope of the youths to dominate the cabinet has been dashed by the exigences of appeasing the entitled old brigades,”
This comes after the former lawmaker had suggested that the appointment of the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, as a minister, is likely to cause a rift between President Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
Prior to this latest tweet, a lot of Nigerians have criticised the list for containing names of former political office holders, instead of fresh young heads.
