The Africa Economic Summit Group has unveiled its powerhouse leadership team for the Africa Economic Summit 2024.

This was disclosed in a statement signed and made available by its CEO, Brian Reuben.

The unveiling marks a pivotal moment for Africa’s economic trajectory. Led by the visionary Samuel Ohuabunwa, this dynamic ensemble, handpicked to represent diverse regions of Africa, signals a new era of collaborative leadership and unwavering commitment to driving sustainable growth across the continent.

Under the astute guidance of Ohuabunwa, a trailblazer in pharmaceuticals, business, and public service, the Africa Economic Summit 2024 sets the stage for transformative change. With a sterling track record as the former Managing Director and Chief Executive of Pfizer in Nigeria, Ohuabunwa brings unparalleled expertise and a passion for advancing Africa’s economic agenda to his role as president.

Joining him are four exceptional vice presidents, each a luminary in their respective fields. They are Jamel Boujdaria, Elias Shoniyin, David Molapo, and Joan Ngunnzi.

Mr Boujdaria is a seasoned diplomat and strategic thinker who brings invaluable insights from his tenure as the former deputy chief of the Tunisian Embassy in New Delhi, India, serving as vice president for North Africa.

Mr Shoniyin is a distinguished statesman and former foreign minister of the Republic of Liberia. Shoniyin’s wealth of experience positions him perfectly as vice president for West Africa.

Mr Molapo, as president of ICAN4IR South Africa, is at the forefront of driving innovation and technological advancement in Southern Africa, making him an ideal choice as vice president for the region.

With her role as Director of Partnership (East Africa) at Africa Economic Summit Group as well as a former Minister of Trade and Tourism in Embu Kenya, Ngunnzi brings a wealth of strategic acumen and deep-rooted connections to her position as vice president for East Africa.
