Leeds United suffered another crushing blow in their quest to avoid being dragged into the relegation dogfight after Liverpool put them to the sword at Anfield on Wednesday evening.
Salah opened the scoring in the 15th minute after dispatching a penalty which was awarded after Stuart Dallas was judged to have handled the ball in the penalty box.
Liverpool doubled their advantage in the 30th minute when Salah carved the opponent’s defense open with a killer through-ball which Joel Matip finished brilliantly.

It went from bad to worse for the visitors when Salah got his brace and Liverpools’ third goal after converting another penalty which was awarded when Luke Ayling brought down Sadio Mane in the penalty box.
Sadio Mane added two late goals in the 80th and 91st minutes respectively, while Virgil van Dijk made it 6-0 with an added-time header.
The margin of Liverpool’s win means they have a superior goal difference to title rivals City, who they are due to meet on 9 April at Etihad Stadium.
