Salah prioritizes winning EPL title over UCL trophy this season

Salah has scored 17 English Premier League (EPL) goals and provided 13 assists for the Reds so far this season

Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has said he would rather win the English Premier League (EPL) title than the UEFA Champions League (UCL) trophy this season.

The Egyptian international made this known while speaking with TNT Sports ahead of Liverpool’s EPL tie against Manchester United on Sunday.

Salah has won both the Premier League and the Champions League trophies in the past.

The 32-year-old has been impressive so far this season for Arne Slot’s side.

He has scored 17 Premier League goals and provided 13 assists for the Reds so far this season.

However, while discussing which trophy he desires the most this season, Salah said he wants to win the EPL title more than Champions League trophy this year.

Asked which of the trophies he prefers, he said, “I want to win the Premier League title more than the Champions League this year. 

“I really want it, as a team we want it.”

Liverpool currently sit on top of the Premier League table with 45 points from 18 games.

The Reds also top the UCL group table with two games to go.
