As AFCON reaches the last 4 stages, Liverpool’s duo of Salah and Sadio Mane are on course to face each other in the final

In what may be a dream come true, soccer fans all over the world will be hoping for a showdown between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Both forwards played crucial roles in their teams’ passage to the semi-finals stage of the competition, as they either scored or gave an assist en-route booking their spots.
Salah scored and provided an assist for the second, as the Pharaohs came back from a goal down to beat their North African rival Morocco 2-1 in a derby.

Mane, on the other hand, provided an assist for Famara Diedhiou’s opener in the 28th minute, as the Teranga Lions put 3 past Equatorial Guinea to progress into the last four.
While soccer fans are patiently waiting for the possibility of seeing the deadly attacking duo in the final, Liverpool will be cursing their luck, as it means they would be missing their services for a few more days.
The Pharaohs after a slow start qualified to play hosts Cameroon in the first semi-final, while Senegal will take on fellow West African, Burkina Faso in the other encounter.
If Egypt and Senegal win what will be very challenging encounters, Liverpools’ most prized assets, Salah and Mane will meet in the final of AFCON bearing unforeseen circumstances to lead their respective countries to glory.
