The Seven-time African champions, who lost their opener against the Super Eagles, were prevented from taking the lead by the frame of the goal post as they struck the woodwork three times in a game they had the upper hand.

The Liverpool forward, Salah, however, hit a first-time left-footed effort from the edge of the six-yard box which flew past the outstretched hand of Guinea-Bissau keeper Jonas Mendes to give Egypt a deserved 1-0 lead.

In the 82nd minute, Guinea-Bissau striker, Baldé cuts in from the left and fired a shot into the far corner of the net, but after a VAR check, the goal was cancelled because Egyptian defender Omar Kama was fouled in the build-up to the goal.
