Sabinus expresses gratitude after kidnapers released his father

Popular skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known as Sabinus has reacted to the abduction and subsequent release of his father. 

TheNiche learnt that the comedian’s dad was kidnapped by armed gunmen at his residence in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital last week. 

However, in an attempt to rescue him, a gun battle erupted between the local security team and the kidnappers, leading to the death of an officer.

Reacting to the incident via a post he shared on his Instagram page, Sabinus disclosed that a ransom was paid for his father’s release.

He, however, did not reveal the amount that was demanded or paid as ransom, but expressed gratitude to God for giving him the ability to pay.

Speaking via his verified social media handle, Sabinus said, “Kidnappers who kidnapped my father could still watch my content and laugh; life is like that.

“But we thank God for providing it; otherwise, I would have been so sorry. Thank you, Lord.”
