Portuguese star and Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has flown out of Saudi Arabia in the middle of the night in a bid to ensure his safety.
The 41-year-old forward’s departure from the oil-rich Middle Eastern country follows the escalating conflict in the region.
The United States and Israel recently launched air strikes on Iran, reportedly killing several of the Islamic Republic’s leaders, including the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response to the assault, Tehran carried out targeted attacks on U.S. bases and assets in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, causing some of these countries to close their airspace and limit flight departures.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh was hit by two drones overnight, and Iranian state media claims a command and staff building in Bahrain has also been destroyed.
According to flight tracker, Ronaldo’s Bombardier Global Express, after jetting out successfully, landed in Madrid after a nearly seven-hour flight.
The report further noted that the luxury private jet departed Saudi Arabia at 8 pm and arrived in Spain around 1 am.
