Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked Manchester United’s supporters for the support given to him and his colleagues during the Premier League 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday night.
Ronaldo also praised his Manchester United teammates for defeating their arch-rivals, Liverpool at Old Trafford.
Goals from Jadon Sancho in the 16th minute and one from Marcus Rashford in the 53rd minute ensured the Red Devils beat Liverpool at home for the first time since 2018.

Outstanding performances at the back from Malacia, Varane and Martinez also distributed the normal flowing football from the Reds.
Although Mohamed Salah scored what ended up as a consolation goal for the victors, it was Erik ten Hag’s men who carried the day.
Speaking after the game, Ronaldo, who did not start the match, wrote on his Instagram account: “Well done @manchesterunited. Thank you for your support, Old Trafford.”
Ronaldo, who has been unsettled at the club because of his desire to play Champions League football, will now hope to start when Man United face Southampton in their early kick-off Saturday fixture.
