Lookman was missing during Leicester’s 2-1 win over Brentford on Sunday but featured in the ECL loss to Rennes on Thursday

Super Eagles fans have breathed a sigh of relief after Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers disclosed that Ademola Lookman who missed the Foxes win against Brentford on Sunday is not injured.
This is as Lookman’s teammate Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out of the two-legged World Cup qualifier against Ghana with a knee injury, which may keep him out for the rest of the season according to his manager.
Lookman, who recently switched allegiance from England to Nigeria, was missing from the Leicesters’ matchday squad that picked up the hard-fought 2-1 win at the King Power stadium.

He was, however, in action on Thursday when his team booked their place at the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League (ECL) despite losing away to Ligue 1 club, Rennes.
Reacting via Leicesters’ Twitter handle after the win against Brentford on Sunday, Rodgers said:
”Ademola Lookman missed the game through illness while Marc Albrighton will be back after the international break after a slight groin issue.”
Ademola Lookman Is expected to join Super Eagles camp for the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs against Ghana and he is expected to have recovered in time for the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday.
Meanwhile, the number of Super Eagles players in camp as of Monday night had swelled to 12 after six more players arrived.
The players in the camp according to the NFF are William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Odion Ighalo, Daniel Akpeyi, Ahmed Musa, Oghenekaro Etebo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Shehu Abdullahi, and Francis Uzoho.
The players are camping at the Wells Carlton Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja, ahead of their two-legged FIFA World Cup play-off encounter with arch-rivals, Ghana.
