Reigning Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champion, Rivers Angels, will begin their title defence against Delta Queens on September 12 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.
The club finished second behind Bayelsa Queens in Group A in the regular season and will be jostling for the title alongside three other teams when the Super 4 starts in Benin on September 11.
Angels Coach, Edwin Okon, said his team is ready for the opposition in the Super 4.
“The trio of Bayelsa Queens, Nasarawa Amazons and Delta Queen are familiar foes to us and we are not afraid of them.
“We’ve been working very hard for the Super Four, training every day to ensure we keep our fitness.
“The three teams are well known to me and the players so we just have to think of how to keep the title,” said.
The Super Four holds from September 11 to 16 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.
