British pundit and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said Arsenal new striker, Viktor Gyokeres is yet to impress him, adding that he could flop at the club.

He made this known recently on ‘Cheeky Sport’ while analysing Arsenal’s 1-0 league win over his old club on Sunday.

Gyokeres arrived at the Emirates for a transfer fee of £63million from Sporting CP this summer.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, gave him his first competitive debut at Old Trafford on Sunday, but he failed to register a shot, before he was replaced by Kai Havertz in the second half.

Reacting to the Swedish international’s performance during the encounter, Ferdinand urged fans of the north London outfit to “calm down” when it comes to their expectations of the 27-year-old.

Speaking on the show, the Man United legend said: “Calm down. I’ve seen him live twice and I watched him [play for Arsenal against Manchester United on Sunday].
