Tottenham Hotspurs (Spurs) are set to be without Brazil striker, Richarlison, when they face arch-rivals, Arsenal in the second leg of the North London derby on January 15.

Richarlison will miss the next 5-6 weeks, after picking up an injury during the just concluded World Cup in Qatar, effectively ruling him out of the much anticipated derby against the Gunners.

The Brazilian was one of the standout stars for his country in Qatar, and that could bring a new era of confidence to the young forward when Premier League resumes.

Arsenal currently sit atop the English first division with Manchester City their nearest rivals in second with a five-point deficit.

Tottenham are amongst the best of the rest, however, sitting in fourth a further three points behind the Citizens, and the clash against Arteta’s men could well be one of those which decides who lifts this season’s trophy and decides Champions League places.

With that in mind, Arsenal who travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, would see the fact that Richarlison is set to miss the encounter as an added advantage, especially with Gabriel Jesus also sidelined for months.

Richardson, despite his good showing at the World Cup, is yet to score a Premier League goal for Spurs this season, but he could well play a big role for them as they try to push on for a top-four finish.
