A missing N50 that was later found, has cost a little girl, Hawau her mid-right finger.
Hawau, until she was tortured by her guardian, works errand for her guardian, a retired Customs officer who reportedly chopped off her middle finger over a missing N50. The N50 was later found, according to reporting by Vanguard Newspaper.
The name of the retired customs officer was not given in the report, except that the 10-year-old girl Hawau, according to the report, resides with her at Oko-Afo, along Badagry Road.

According to the report, the retired Customs officer sent Hawau to take N200 from the N250 she kept on the fridge, to get a certain drug for her.
Then trouble started after Hawau returned from the errand and her guardian asked her for the N50 that should have been on the fridge. It wasn’t there.
According to the report, Hawau explained to her guardian that she didn’t take the money, but that fell on a deaf ear. The angry guardian immediately dragged the 10-year-old girl inside her room, brought out a machete and chopped off one of her fingers.
