Beatrice Okeowo facilitated curriculum development, learning, research, teaching, and policy among others in Ondo State

A renowned educationist, Madam Beatrice Olarewaju Okeowo, who died on November 10, 2024, will be buried on February 7, 2025 in Owo, Ondo State.
Madam Beatrice Okeowo, who was born 91 years ago to the Fagoroye family in lleoluji, Ondo State, married Chief Micheal Olabode Okeowo, the late secretary of Owo Anglican Diocese and educationist.
The graduate of English and Fine Arts from Adeyemi College of Education (Now Adeyemi Federal University of education), began her career as a teacher in the then Western Region of Nigeria.
Throughout her professional life, she mentored many teachers and shaped several careers.
As an Inspector of Education in the Ondo State civil service, some of her colleagues attested to the fact that she was one of the best Inspectors of Education of her time.
Many of the teachers she supervised noted that she was extremely thorough and strict but also very caring.

While in service, Mama Beatrice Okeowo facilitated curriculum development, learning, research, teaching, and policy among others in Ondo State.
She was also involved in Australian education curriculum development when she worked with the Australian government in Canberra back in 1979 and 1980.
A devout Christian who puts Christ’s teachings in action in her day to day dealings with people, Mama Okeowo served the Anglican communion in different capacities.
She also lived to serve God and humanity until she took her last breath.
She will be buried on Friday, February 7, 2025.at St Patrick’s Anglican Church Hall, Ijebu Owo, Ondo State.
Madam Beatrice Okeowo is survived by Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters and brothers.
