Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of sending thugs to beat her up.
The mother of two made the claim on Saturday in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
While narrating her ordeal, she alleged that the violence in her husband’s house has become unbearable.
Regina is heard saying in the video: “Ned sent thugs, in Ned Nwoko’s house I’m nothing but in my house I’m a queen. What again, I can’t stand the violence it’s too much.” The video also shows an attempt to pacify her, as she was made to sit on the ground while water was poured on her head.
Brother Confirms, Alleges Direct Assault
Shortly after the video began circulating, Sammy West, her brother, also confirmed the development on his Instagram page. However, he escalated the claim, alleging the senator personally beat the actress and smashed her head on the wall before sending thugs.

Speaking about the incident, he wrote, “Makachi! E pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat, anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.”
He continued: “Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw.”
Nigerians React
The incident has elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
Actor, Stanley Ontop wrote, “Nothing should happen to my Gina ooo… make hand no touch her abeg.”
An internet user identified as @sawiitee questioned, “Hope say no be movie?”
Another netizen, @yourmosttrustworthyattorney, lamented, “This is too sad. I was hoping it was a skit.”
User @vivibleez added, “Noooo, it’s for better or for worse. Who she wan leave am for?”
Other commentators were critical of the actress. @bigbillzbaby criticised, “She chose this life forced on her by her mother, who doesn’t know any better.”
Echoing similar sentiments, @callmeoche commented, “She really needs to stop talking. Why marry someone old enough to be your grandfather? He’ll always see you as a child. Honestly, this situation is partly her fault.”
