Such respect was displayed by some Nigerian entertainers at an event recently held in Lagos.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi was among prominent figures who attended the just-concluded Future Awards ceremony in Lagos.

The king then beckoned on the ‘Rora’ singer to come forward as he laid hands on him and prayed for the popular music star.

The Ooni’s royal guards, however, were also quick to stop him from reaching for a king’s hand for a handshake to avert what would have been deemed a ‘sacrilege’.
