Pundit and former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie Redknapp, has said Manchester United’s draw at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace has made their winning the Premier League title more difficult.

Redknapp made the assertion while speaking on Sky Sports following United’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The Red Devil took the lead towards the end of half-time through Bruno Fernardes, they were, however, pegged back after a well-taken freekick from Michael Olise levelled the encounter for the Eagles.

According to the Spurs legend, the result might have ended United’s hopes of mounting a title challenge despite their obvious progress under Erik ten Hag.

“I didn’t really believe Man Utd were in the title picture before the game.

“I still think they have so much to do, but the progression they have made so far is astounding.

“However, the title this season is a bit of a step too far. They have had too much to do from the poor start they’ve had,” Redknapp said.

Ten Hag’s men, though still third, now have the same point as champions, Man City and are eight points behind leaders, Arsenal having played a game more.

They have a crucial March against  Arsenal this Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.
