“Reality-shows are a great start for contestants’ career and those that emerge winners gain immediate stardom, ‘’he said.

Ogbeiwi, who is popularly known as “Uncle Ben’’ to contestants, said that reality TV shows like Project Fame, Nigerian Idol and others; are viable platforms for green-horns to start their career.

“Over the years reality-shows have provided one of the greatest platforms we have seen in the industry, which over time has made talented young people mega stars.

“The idea behind reality shows is to bring to stardom under-privileged Nigerian artists and this is being achieved as we can see.

“Beyond stardom, these talents have the opportunity of winning large sums, massive recording deals and other benefits,’’ he said.

The instructor added that despite the fact that reality-shows have the potentials of making talented Nigerians famous and prosperous; the onus was on the individual to prove his worth.(NAN)
