Nollywood actor Ray Emodi has set tongues wagging on social media after revealing his decision to quit acting to pursue a career in music.
He announced the decision on Tuesday evening via a now-viral video shared on his official Instagram page.
According to Emodi, his departure from Nollywood stems from a need to prioritise his health; he disclosed that he has been battling anxiety for over 10 years.
The 35-year-old thespian admitted, however, that his decision to abandon acting for a full-time music career is not without consequences.

Speaking via his verified handle, Emodi said: “I have stopped acting in films. I’ve quit to focus on my music career.
“This is a decision that has come with a lot of consequences.”
After the video did the rounds on social media, it elicited mixed reactions from netizens, particularly his fans.
While some movie lovers urged him to reconsider his stance—suggesting he could combine both careers—others argued that he was not being serious and was merely seeking attention.
