Police nab notorious One Chance squad in Lagos

CP Abiodun Alabi used the medium to encourage residents of Lagos state to always remain vigilant and keen-eyed, especially when boarding public vehicles as a way of protecting themselves from One Chance.

The police in Lagos have arrested two suspected members of a One Chance gang operating along the Funsho Williams Avenue area of the state.

The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin in a signed statement disclosed that the suspected One Chance gang include, Usman Hussaini, aged 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, aged 25. They were arrested following a distress call received from a victim shortly after he was dispossessed of his phone and other valuables.

The police operatives said they recovered 2 mobile phones, 2 SIM cards, one Sterling Bank ATM card, one UBA cheque booklet belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld), and one brand new tricycle with registration number LSD 360 QN used by the gang.

The statement noted that the suspects will be arraigned once investigations are concluded.

In this regard to the arrests, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, used the medium to encourage residents of Lagos state to always remain vigilant and keen-eyed, especially when boarding public vehicles as a way of protecting themselves from One Chance.
