Police in Osun State have said the news of the attempted abduction of Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti, which surfaced on social media recently was a false narrative.
Rumours made the rounds on the internet on Tuesday, that Isaac Fayose escaped being whisked away by gunmen, who attempted to kidnap him around Gbogan, along the Ife-Ibadan highway on Monday, August 29.
The Osun State Police Command has now debunked the claim, saying the younger Fayose, merely had a lone minor accident along the expressway, while attempting to make a U-turn.
