Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has suggested that for the Nigerian team to win the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), they must focus on the game at hand.
She gave the advice while talking to
the Super Falcons media ahead of the team’s opening encounter against Tunisia on Sunday.
Speaking during the interview, Plumptre noted that it is important for the team not to think too hard about winning their 10th title at the competition.
She went on to state that the Super Falcons have the quality to win all their games.

She said, “I don’t really like to talk about the future too much, my aim is to think about the present as much as possible.”
Plumptre added that the team have “to take it one game at a time, and have the believe that we can win” all the games that they play.
The Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia player will be playing at the WAFCON finals for the second time after her maiden appearance three years ago in Morocco.
The Super Falcons finished in fourth position at the edition.
