NFF still owing Gernot Rohr

Pinnick has also confirmed that the Federation is still owing the former head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles Gernot Rohr few months salaries.

After weeks of speculations, the football body on Sunday confirmed the sacking of the Franco-German gaffer as the coach of Super Eagles.

While speaking about the recent development on Channels television on Monday, Pinnick said they will pay the debt in the next few months.

” We are owing him a couple of monies and they will be cleared off (in) five months,” he said.

Rohr spent 5 years as the coach of Super Eagles and led the team to two major tournaments; World Cup in Russia 2018 and AFCON 2019 in Egypt

In 1996, he managed Girondins de Bordeaux to the UEFA Cup final, where they lost to Bayern Munich over two legs, 0–2 away and 1–3 at home.  Bordeaux’s run to the final included a famous 3–0 win over AC Milan in the quarter-finals. From October 1998 until April 1999, he was sports director of Eintracht Frankfurt.
