Popular British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has advised North London club, Arsenal to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United during the January transfer window.
The controversial journalist made the call after Mikel Arteta’s men were dumped out of the FA Cup by 10-man Manchester United on Sunday.
Speaking on X after the encounter Morgan tweeted, “Pathetic, Arsenal. How can you lose at home to a team that has 10 men for that long?
“So long as Havertz is our main striker, we have zero chance of winning any big trophies.
“He was abysmal today. If Arteta doesn’t buy big this window, including a top striker, our season is over.”
However, speaking on talkSPORT recently, he told Arsenal owners to “break the bank” and buy Isak, adding that the Swedish international is the best striker in Europe at the moment.

He said, “How many times have I been on your show in the last three years since [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang got shoved out the door?
“He was a genuinely world-class striker in my opinion and had an amazing scoring record for Arsenal.
“Alright, Arsenal didn’t want him. Fine. So who are you going to replace him with?”
Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal fan, added, “the reality is, I have very calmly, each time I’ve come on, politely suggested that we need to sign a proper striker. The days for calm are now over… we need a bloody striker!
“If you want to win big trophies you have got to be ruthless and you’ve got to sign the best players.
“Isak, right now, is the best striker in Europe… Arsenal, break the bloody bank!”
Isak, who has been impressive for Newcastle so far this season, has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
