Popular British broadcaster, Piers Morgan and lifelong Arsenal supporter, has urged Tottenham Hotspur to beat Man City on Tuesday night to boost the Gunners’ chances of winning the Premier League for the first time in 20 years.

He made the call via a post on his X handle, following Aston Villa’s 3-3 thrilling draw against Liverpool at Villa Park on Monday night.

The result means fourth-placed Villa have not qualified for the Champions  League despite being in prime position to finish ahead of Spurs.

Unai Emery’s men have 68 points, five points more than Tottenham, who have two fixtures left to play.

Speaking after the match, Piers Morgan noted that the result should propel Spurs to beat league champions, Man City since they can still qualify to for Champions League.

Taking to his verified social media page, he tweeted: “So, with that Villa draw, Spurs MUST beat City tomorrow night or they won’t have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

“Perfect scenario for Arsenal to win the League.

“Come on @SpursOfficial – you can do this, you useless wastrels.”

Spurs can still get the remaining Champions League slot if they win their last two games and Villa fail to get at least a draw against high flying Crystal Palace on the last day.

And if Ange Postecoglou’s men who play Man City on Tuesday night get a draw or win in the game, they will put Arsenal in pole position to win the league.
