Phyna says she fancies only Wizkid’s music despite controversy

Wizkid is currently facing backlash from sections of the entertainment industry for rejecting Afrobeats as his genre of music but he has the backing of BBNaija alumna Phyna (real name Josephina Otabor) who affirms the guy is the only artiste who impresses her.
Phyna has since morphed from BBNaija into a reality star and Nollywood actress.
“Omo I’m loving Wizkid now oooh. Baba no send anybody papa. Gosh…shea person fit change fave? Bcuz like this eh!!! Na only Star boy dy do wetin dy sweet me…Una papa,” Phyna posted in pidging English on X (Twitter).
Wizkid sparked controversy with his recent announcement he does not wish to identify as an Afrobeats artist anymore, and issuing a statement blasting those who criticised him for denouncing the genre.
Phyna’s post has elicited mixed reactions, with many decrying her for supporting such crass display and labelled her “razz and clout chaser.”
She herself has not been far from controversy, particularly since her announcement last month she would not like to marry an Igbo man because his family will poke their nose too much in the marriage as is common in the South East.
Phyna disclosed her preference for a husband is an Edo or Yoruba man.
“I want to marry a lively person like me, someone that you wouldn’t easily know that we are husband and wife. I want to marry someone that is my spec, someone that we are alike. Someone who has a Shallipopi vibe,” she said.
