Paul Okoye, one half of the popular musical duo, PSquare, has taken to social media to urge Nigerians to elect Peter Obi, the flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP) in 2023 general elections.
The singer made the appeal via a post on his official Instagram page, where he shared a picture of him and the former governor of Anambra State.
Peter Obi, recently ditched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Labour Party on May 27, to realise his presidential ambition.

Paul in his post asked Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) in readiness to vote Mr Obi in as the next president, as anything short of that, will mean retrogression for the county.
He wrote: “My fellow Nigerians pls get your PVC… If we miss this opportunity, there will be another 8 years of backwardness till 2031. #Obidiently.”
Reacting to his twin brother’s post, Peter Okoye, took to his comment section to lend his support to the aspirations of the businessman and politician.
After applauding Paul, he narrowed his clarion call to the Nigerian youth, whom he urged to pick candidates based on their qualities rather than ethnic considerations, while also stressing that not voting for Mr Obi will have consequences.
“Pls can somebody give him a chilled bottle of beer. Dear Nigerians and the Youths! This is not about the North or South here. We are no longer interested in party politics but the qualities of the candidate! If we miss this opportunity! We might never get it again. #PeterObi2023,” Peter wrote.
