Nollywood actor and former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Pere Egbi has decided to correct the impression that he and a former winner of the reality show, Mercy Eke are romantically involved.
The thespian took to his official X handle (formally Twitter) to set the record straight on his alleged relationship with his colleague and winner of the “Pepper Dem’ edition on the popular show.
TheNiche had earlier reported that Pere and Mercy were widely tipped by fans for a romantic relationship after they got cosier at the twilight of the just concluded BBNaija All Stars show.

They also fuelled the rumour during their media rounds after the 8th edition of the show, when they failed to disclose the status of their relationship.
However, clarifying that he and Mercy are not dating on Wednesday, Pere via his social media page urged their fans to stop trying to match-make them.
He also pleaded with them to desist from tipping them for a relationship or flaunting them as a couple.
He tweeted: “Dear shippers, while I appreciate your efforts and care from inception, I would love to be clear on one thing: I am not dating Mercy Eke. So please cease with the flowers mentioning her name. This is as concise as I can be.”
