Internal crises in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a new twist as the former national chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, was on Thursday suspended by the National Working Committee of the party.
The decision was reached at the end of the party’s 395th meeting held on Wednesday to review national developments as they affect the party.
Tukur was suspended by the National Working Committee (NWC) for allegedly being one of the masterminds of several court cases seeking the removal of the incumbent chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Mua’zu.
He was suspended alongside Aliyu Abuba Gurin for one month and both are referred to the National Disciplinary Committee for infringing on section 58(1)(a)( b)( h)( l) of the PDP Constitution 2012 as amended.
