PDP is dead in Plateau State, says Kwapnoe

-

The Plateau State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has said that the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) is dead in the state.

The Coordinator of Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation in the state, Alex Kwapnoe, while addressing newsmen at Kororofa Motel along Mangu Road, argued that the PDP has lost its followers in the state.

He boasted that the opposition APC would defeat the Jonah Jang-led PDP in the state in the coming elections.

He blamed the dwindling fortune of the ruling party on what he called Jang’s desperation to impose an unpopular candidate on the people of the state, an act which he said was rejected.
Kwapnoe also blamed one Pwajok for the crisis rocking the party in the state.

He said the people of Plateau are now calling for change because the time has come for it even as he alleged that the PDP was already planning to hire thugs to disrupt the presidential election in the state.

“PDP in plateau state is dead. I have repeated it before and I still say it again. We are not going to insult PDP or exchange words with its leaders because they have no hands in this. What we are saying is that Plateau people are faced with the challenges of Jang and Pwajok.
“We have openly declared that victory is in our hands and so we call on our supporters not to be restive but be vigilant because there will be more provocation during the polls.

“We understand they are going to hire thugs all over the 17 local governments ,particularly in the Southern and Central zones to ensure that they disrupt political activities in these elections but I advise our youths that we will role and stroll to victory. We warn the youth not to be counted among violent people.

“ We will use the legitimate instruments for the elections the results must be guided and counted before we leave the polling units; I think that is fair enough”, he said.
