The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserts that its peaceful South South zonal congress has further demonstrated its unity, focus and poised in the determination to galvanize Nigerians, across board, to rescue the nation from misrule
In a statement signed by the party’s national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, the PDP notes that the oneness of purpose that characterized the exercise has further proven that the PDP, under the current leadership,
is one indivisible family, made up of patriots, whose only interest is the stability and development of the country.
“The peaceful conduct of our South South zonal congress, just like that of the South East and North East, has again shown the huge difference between the PDP and the fizzling All Progressives Congress (APC), whose congresses and other activities are always marred by violence, killings and horrible manipulations.
“The PDP congratulates its new South South Zonal Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, for his emergence through a credible and transparent process at the congress.
“Our party urges all our leaders, critical stakeholders, teeming members and supporters in the South South and indeed across the nation, to continue to work together in the collective quest to salvage our nation from the stranglehold of the deceptive, corrupt and incompetent APC.”
